Here comes the summer...

Classes are finished, exams are done, sun is out – hello summer!

I’m really loving the heatwave we’re having right now. Doesn’t life seem so much better when it’s warm and sunny? All the simple things become so much more enjoyable. This morning, our usually mundane walk to the shops became a blissful leisurely stroll. When we came home, we opened up all the windows, put on some music and threw together a quick but delicious light lunch (our garden is in no fit state to host alfresco meals!). We’re moving out of our current house next week so we have lots of packing to do and things to sort out now. But somehow even those tasks don’t seem so daunting when we can fit in lots of breaks filled with ice cream and sunshine.
